The Williams House invites you to experience the magic of a Victorian-style Christmas celebration, during which you won’t have to lift a finger! We take pleasure in doing all the work, so you can fully relax and enjoy the spirit of the season. If your stay at the Williams House is in early December, you can watch the Lighted Christmas Parade from our front porch, as the inn is right on the parade route.
Later in the month, our Christmas package offers delight that begins the moment you step through the door. You’ll be greeted with a platter of cookies and fruit in your room, and the celebration won’t end until check-out!
We take holiday decor seriously, so prepare for our property to take your breath away. The place will be aglow with twinkling lights, and a majestic tree will stand tall in the parlor, decked out in ribbon and ornaments. You’ll find lush floral arrangements in our common spaces, and a wreath on each guest room door.
On Christmas Eve Eve (December 23rd), dive into the rich history of Fernandina Beach during the Amelia Island Museum of History’s Gilded Age Tour. You’ll stroll the area’s North End while learning about Fernandina’s rapid growth around the turn of the century. You’ll see some of the Historic District’s most striking homes in the wealthy ‘Silk Stocking’ District while learning about key players in the history of the area. The tour is one hour in length and covers about eight blocks.
On Christmas Eve, you’ll embark on a narrated boat tour of Amelia Island and Cumberland Island, during which you’ll learn about both the history and wildlife of the area. Then, cash in your gift card for dinner at a delicious local restaurant, which is included in your stay.
Every breakfast at The Williams House is special, but Christmas morning’s meal goes above and beyond. Veronica and her team will make sure your day begins with a decadent meal that will leave you satisfied and energized for the day ahead.
Make sure to save room for a prix fixe Christmas dinner at David’s Restaurant and Lounge, which will be a meal to remember! The dishes, which include filet mignon, mushroom ravioli, and chocolate bread pudding, among others, are a perfect balance of classic and creative, and are sure to please any palate.
